Extreme Communications, a locally owned and operated company, combines over 25 years of experience in the low-voltage infrastructure industry. The founders, having worked for large corporate telecommunication companies, gained extensive knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure solutions. Dissatisfied with the corporate philosophy, they formed Extreme Communications to offer industry-leading, standards-based solutions at fair prices. They emphasize a personal, one-on-one approach, treating customer problems as their own to ensure effective solutions. The owners are Tony Wilhelm (President/CEO), Gabriel Moreno (VP/COO), and Tina Wilhelm (VP/CFO).

Low Voltage Infrastructure Solutions
Also known as Structured Cabling, this is a 'standards'-based method of engineering and installing an integrated data, voice, and video cabling infrastructure for your business. The challenge lies in selecting a structured cabling system that meets both current and future needs. Whether those needs require Category 5e or Category 6 systems, end-users should seek systems that not only meet but exceed the current bandwidth requirements. End-users should look for a contractor with a proven track record in standards compliance and who is prepared to offer systems with performance guarantees that surpass the minimums currently defined for each category of cabling system.
Data Cabling
The Category 5e standard is generally accepted as the minimum requirement for current data applications in new cabling system installations. Category 6 represents the current evolution of data cabling systems, capable of transmitting data at higher rates with increased headroom and throughput. Increasingly, companies are investing in the future of their networks with the implementation of a Category 6 cabling system.
Voice Cabling
Most standards organizations recommend the use of the Category 5e standard instead of all earlier standards for voice networking applications.
Video/CCTV: Video/CCTV is a video surveillance system that allows monitoring of sensitive transactions or high-risk areas. The footage can be stored digitally or on a standard VHS cassette.
Fiber Optic Cabling
Fiber Optic Cables consist of strands of optically pure glass as thin as a human hair, carrying digital information over long distances. With nearly unlimited bandwidth and the capability to transmit data up to 2 km, Fiber Optic Cable is the medium used to provide most Data Backbone Connectivity. It is impervious to Electro Magnetic Interference, better known as "EMI". Depending on end-user requirements, Fiber Optic Cable is available in both 50-micron multimode and 62.5-micron multimode, as well as 8.5-micron singlemode.
